Turkish FM says Assad cannot possibly stay in power any longer

Davutoğlu who is in Finland’s capital Helsinki for an official visit held a joint press conference with his Finnish counterpart Erkki Tuomioja.

He delivered some important messages about the conflict in Syria and President Assad and said that Al Assad was very close to being unseated.

Davutoğlu went on to say it was not possible for the Assad regime to stay in power any longer. The minister also said that Turkey did not see a possible use of chemical weapons by Syria though it was always possible to talk about a threat.

Davutoğlu emphasized that if a country had missile capabilities and chemical weapons, one could always talk about the risk of those being used and in the case of Syria the danger was potential that was exactly the reason the international community needed to take all necessary measures.

As observed lately the international community is supposed to have grown a stronger awareness of the bloodshed and tragic developments in Syria, recently and thus many believe a swift transition and transformation in Syria is a must now.
