Turkey to sign free trade agreement with South Korea

Turkey which has been spending immense effort to improve its foreign trade performance has signed agreements with many countries all over the world. Turkey attributes great importance to its economic partners and this returns as new positive progress in the foreign trade statistics of the country.

Within this frame, Turkey and South Korea are to sign free trade agreement on Aug. 1

Mr. ÇAĞLAYAN, the successfull Economy Minister of the country made a comment on Sunday, saying “This will be Turkey’s first free trade agreement in Far East”.

Çağlayan went on to add “Thanks to the agreement, Turkish exporters will have the chance to compete with EU and U.S. exporters equally in Korean market”.

Turkey and South Korea have been trade partners for several years already and the two countries have also been sharing a successful relation in all fields to include political views.

The agreement will be signed in Turkish capital Ankara.
