Turkey: Industrial Turnover Index, September 2013

TURKISH_ECONOMYBased on the report issues by TUIK (Turkish Statistical Institute) Industrial Turnover Index (total) in September 2013 increased by 16.3% compared with the same month in previous year. In the sub sectors level of industry, mining and quarrying index increased by 6.2% and manufacturing index increased by 16.6% in September 2013 compared with same month of the previous year.

According to Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs) Classification, while the highest increase in September 2013 over the same month of the previous year realized in capital goods, decrease realized in energy.

Highest increase was in manufacture of other transport equipment

When the change rates of Industrial Turnover Index in September 2013 compared with September of 2012 inspected, the highest increase was in manufacture of other transport equipment by 163.8%, it is followed by manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 35.6%.

Highest decrease was in other manufacturing

When the change rates of Industrial Turnover Index in September 2013 compared with September of 2012 inspected, the highest decrease was in other manufacturing by 40.3%, it is followed by manufacture of tobacco products by 34.0%.

Industrial turnover increased by 13.3% compared with the same quarter of previous year

In the sub sectors of the industry (based on 2010=100), mining and quarrying increased by 5.2% and manufacturing increased by 13.6 in III. Quarter 2013 compared with the same quarter of the previous year
