Report: Turkey’s Industrial Production Index, September 2013

Industrial Production Index, September 2013

Seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial production increased by 5.8% compared with the previous month
In the sub sectors of the industry (based on 2010=100), mining and quarrying increased by 4.9%, manufacturing increased by 6.6% and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased by 1.3% in September 2013, compared with the previous month.

In the sub sectors of the industry (based on 2010=100), mining and quarrying decreased by 4.3%, manufacturing increased by 8.0% and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased by 1.3% in September 2013, compared with the same month last year.

In seasonally and calendar adjusted main industrial groupings the largest increase was in durable consumer goods
According to the Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs) classification, the largest increase was in durable consumer goods by 12.2% in September of 2013, compared with the previous month.

In seasonally and calendar adjusted manufacturing the largest increase was in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products
In the sub sectors of the manufacturing industry, the largest increase was in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 33.4%, it is followed by manufacture of printing and reproduction of recorded media by 17.1% and manufacture of furniture by 16.7% in September 2013, compared with the previous month.

In seasonally and calendar adjusted manufacturing only decrease was in manufacture of other transport equipment.
In the sub sectors of the manufacturing industry, only decrease was in manufacture of other transport equipment by 6.1% in September 2013, compared with the previous month.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial production increased by 1.0% compared with the previous quarter.
In the sub sectors of the industry (based on 2010=100), mining and quarrying decreased by 3.3%, manufacturing increased by 1.4% and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased by 0.3% in the third quarter 2013, compared with the previous quarter.

Calendar adjusted industrial production increased by 3.7% compared with the same quarter of last year
In the sub sectors of the industry (based on 2010=100), mining and quarrying decreased by 4.5%, manufacturing increased by 5.1% and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index decreased by 0.4% in third quarter 2013, compared with the same quarter of last year.
