PM Erdoğan made a statement saying the final decision on the deployment of Patriot missiles along the Turkish border with Syria will be taken after meetings with a NATO delegation, currently in Turkey for survey.

Earlier Iran had criticised Turkey for deciding to deploy Patriot missiles in Turkey. Erdoğan slammed Iran saying the Turkish state takes orders from its people, only.

Erdoğan went on to say “Have faith in your government, state. The state acts on behalf of its people and depends on it for its existence. We don’t need to seek the approval of different places except for our nation.”

On the other hand, referring to his plans to visit Gaza Erdoğan reiterated his wish but avoided mentioning an exact date for said trip.

The PM saaid “I want to visit Gaza at the first opportunity we will have. When we make a decision regarding the subject, we will immediately announce and realize it. I really want to witness the final situation there. This is a humanly act, a duty to be performed for our brothers, that’s how I feel towards my action,” he said.
