Does Putin’s visit prove Turkey’s importance for Russia

It is reported that Turkish-Russian Social Forum is planned to bring together Turkish and Russian businessmen, nongovernmental organizations, universities, religious officials, historians and law experts which is supposed to start a new era in relations between Turkey and Russia.

It is also reported that the chairman of Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee is assigned to act as the chairman of Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, as well.

Mr. Volkan Bozkır (the chairman) stated that the in addition to bringing together concerned parties they would also work for establishment of a Turkish-Russian university and joint commissions.

Mr. BOZKIR, Turkish and Russian NGOs were expected to begin working closely within next six months, he said.

He also stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Turkey showed the importance that the two countries were attached to each other.
